Hey, Bob here!
Today, I want to introduce you to someone whose story truly embodies
the spirit of Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable.
Meet Trina Kennedy—Author of From Trauma to Triumph,
a woman who has not only faced some of life’s
hardest challenges but has come out stronger on the other side.
Her story is one of resilience, healing, and growth, and it shows us that
no matter how deep the pain, we can choose to rise.
Trina grew up in a small farming community in Alberta, Canada.
On the outside, her family seemed typical, but underneath,
there were emotional scars that would shape her life in ways she couldn’t have imagined.
As the oldest child, Trina struggled with a sense of being unseen and unheard.
Her father, though a hard worker, didn’t know how to meet her emotional needs,
leaving Trina to face the challenges of her childhood on her own.
By the age of 16, the emotional weight became too much, leading her to attempt suicide.
That moment, however, marked the beginning of her journey toward healing.
It was the hardest decision she ever made, but it led her to a turning point—
choosing life over death, and from there, everything changed.
From Trauma to Triumph
We often think of Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable in terms of physical endurance or
career challenges. But for Trina, the uncomfortable moments came from confronting deep
emotional wounds and painful memories. Her journey to healing wasn’t a quick fix—
it was a long, often painful process that required her to face the things she had been
avoiding for years.
But Trina didn’t stop there. She realized that her pain could become a source of strength for
others. So, she set out to help those who, like her, felt unseen, unheard, or unimportant.
Through her work in human services and social work, Trina dedicated her life to guiding
others on their healing journeys.

Why Trina’s Story Matters

Until next time,
Bob
