Hey, Bob here!
The new year always feels like a clean slate, doesn’t it?
It’s a chance to reflect, refocus, and most importantly,
set the tone for what’s to come.
As I gear up for 2025, one theme keeps coming back to me:
Relationships.
Over the years,
I’ve realized that relationships aren’t just something we build—
they’re the foundation everything else is built upon.
Whether it’s the connection with your family, the trust with your team,
or even the relationship you have with yourself,
these bonds are what carry us through the highs, the lows, and everything in between.
And often, building those bonds means learning to get comfortable being uncomfortable.
Reflections from 2024
This past year wasn’t without its challenges,
but it brought clarity.
I learned that the people we surround ourselves with
shape not only our outcomes but also our mindset.
They influence the way we approach life, tackle obstacles, and celebrate wins.
Here are two powerful lessons I’m taking into 2025:
1. Let Go of What Holds You Back
Not every relationship is meant to last forever, and that’s okay.
Whether it’s a toxic friendship, a draining partnership,
or simply someone who no longer aligns with your values,
letting go can be a powerful step forward.
Clearing that space allows the right people to step into your life.
2. Invest in What Matters
The best relationships don’t just happen—
they’re built through intention, effort,
and a whole lot of showing up.
Invest your time and energy into people who challenge you to grow,
bring you joy, and truly have your back.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As I step into this new year,
I’m setting a goal to be more intentional with my relationships.
Whether it’s spending quality time with family,
deepening connections with my team, or showing up for myself,
I’m making these bonds a priority.
I encourage you to do the same. Take a moment to reflect on these questions:
- Who has been in your corner, and how can you show up for them?
- Who do you need to spend less time with?
- What new relationships will help you grow this year?
Uncomfortable Picks of the Week
Never Eat Alone by Keith Ferrazzi–
This one’s a keeper.
It’s not about working the room or collecting business cards—
it’s about building real relationships that matter.
Keith breaks it down with stories and strategies you can actually use.
If you want to connect with purpose, this is your playbook.
And here’s why this matters:
At the heart of every great accomplishment
are the people who helped make it happen.
Relationships aren’t just about connection—
they’re about alignment.
Surround yourself with those who lift you higher, push you further,
and remind you why you started in the first place.
As we step into 2025, let’s commit to making relationships our priority.
Focus on the ones that bring value, challenge us,
and yes, even make us a little uncomfortable.
Because that’s where the real growth happens.
Until next time,
Bob
